Launched on the 10th of January 2019, this is an affordable, inclusive café, open for all, to help reduce food waste and put edible food on your plate! There are also loads of fresh produce available on a weekly basis.
The café uses food donated from local stores and businesses, that would otherwise be discarded, and it is used to create a ‘Pay as you can’ lunch each Thursday. Alongside Fair Trade Tea and Coffee, Southlands Methodist will also be offering Barista coffees, which will also help support the running costs of the project.
