Southlands Methodist is home to a vibrant and growing art community.  We are host to South Bank Studios, a community of artists who have studios on our upper floors.  Many of these artists run workshops both in the church, and across the York community.

We also play host to Seek Art school, which runs a variety of classes and workshops during the week.

Over the last few years, we converted the upper floors of our church into studios. We have a small gallery space in the side entrance foyer and are opening further spaces as we speak, in fact, the church’s walls are festooned with artistic creations.   We also host a weekly pay-as-you-can cafe (Planet Food Cafe), using waste food, where many of the artists gather.   For more information on these different activities, follow the links below.
